Carl Pellegrini was a leader in both football and track & field at Jesuit. In football, he lettered 3 years served as captain as a senior and received All-State honors. In track he lettered all 4 years; he served as captain his junior and senior years and was an acclaimed High School All-American. Carl was the nation’s top ranked high school discus thrower during his senior year setting a new Texas high school distance mark and posting the longest high school throw in the nation that year. He was recognized at the Dallas All-Sports Association Banquet as a top Dallas athlete. Carl set new discus records in the last ten major high school meets in which he participated, set several shotput meet records and was also Jesuit’s top sprinter as a senior. The Athletic Journal featured a multi-page article dedicated to Dallas Jesuit’s track phenom. Carl still holds the TCIL State Meet record in the discus which he set in 1961.
    He attended the University of Oklahoma on a track scholarship where he ultimately won the Big Eight Conference Discus Championship. In 1965, he was selected as the Gold Medallion Top Scholar Athlete in the Conference.
     Carl is President and owner of Analytics, Inc. He has 2 daughters and 3 sons, two of whom graduated from Jesuit in 1985 and 1987.
