State Meet cross country team champions and Houston Strake Jesuit who was runner-up to Carroll have already said that they will be out to be number one in the nation in the 4x1600 meter relay after this meet. 2012 Honorary Referees - Bill Melton and Michael Carter
Bill Melton, longtime Texas Relays announcer, is Announcing his 6th and final Jesuit-Sheaner Relays before retiring at the end of this Season to spend more time at his home in Colorado. His Track and Field Announcing career covers 47 years.
Michael Carter is the American national high school record holder in the shot put with a mark of 81 feet 3½ inches. He is the only athlete to win an Olympic medal and a Super Bowl ring in the same year and he still holds the Jesuit-Sheaner Relays shot put meet record set in 1979 with a throw of 70-0Ό.
